Test Tube Baby Through ICSI

What is ICSI ?

Test Tube Baby ICSI is the most common and successful treatment for male infertility. It is a cheap cost test tube baby procedure. It involves injection of the egg (oocyte) by the sperm. The treatment will be exactly the same as with IVF. The only difference is that instead of mixing the sperm with the eggs and leaving them to fertilise, the embryologist injects a single sperm into the egg. This maximizes the chance of fertilisation taking place as it bypasses any potential problems the sperm will have in actually getting to the egg.

How Does ICSI Work?

IVF allows for both traditional and ICSI fertilization of an egg. The egg is placed next to 50,000 or more swimming sperm in a laboratory dish during traditional IVF. When one of the sperm enters the egg’s cytoplasm, fertilisation occurs.

In the ICSI procedure, a single sperm is injected into the center of the egg using a tiny needle. After fertilization, whether using traditional IVF or ICSI, the fertilized egg (now known as an embryo) grows in a lab for two to five days before being implanted into the woman’s uterus (womb).

At Aarush IVF & Endoscopy Centre, known for being the best ICSI clinic in Mumbai, Please keep in mind that anyone can experience infertility, and while it can be a difficult time, the good news is that our specialists can assist you in exploring your options to fulfil your dream to become a parent.

Post ICSI Procedure:

At Aarush IVF & Endoscopy Centre, our healthcare provider examines the fertilized egg in the lab following ICSI to look for indications of successful fertilization. A healthy fertilized egg should divide into cells over five to six days, creating a blastocyst.

An embryo transfer occurs on the fifth or sixth day after the egg retrieval procedure. However, it is more common for the transfer to be postponed for a month or even years. The precise time of your embryo transfer will be discussed with you by your doctor. Using ultrasound technology, your doctor will place a catheter—a lengthy, thin tube—into your vagina and inject the embryo into your uterus.

  • Sperm are abnormally shaped (poor morphology) or they don’t move normally (poor motility)
